Axis Bank FS business plays a pivotal role as a banker to these funds as well as to their portfolio companies: We partner with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to deliver value to our end customers.

Financial Sponsor (FS) Group Head is responsible for growing the business across various areas including onboarding new clients, flow business, FX, Liabilities, Fees Income, etc. Responsible for selling the Axis franchise to FS clients including Axis Capital, Axis Trustee, Burgundy Private, Gift City, Retail/Salary, etc.

Position

Axis as a key player and thought leader in the Financial Sponsor space. This is a fast-moving & evolving industry,



and it will be important to keep a track on the developments and deals in the sector to increase market share across key areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare & execute plan for the growth of the FS business in consultation with the NEGFS Head & Segment Head
- Drive existing initiatives to grow the business holistically and diversify customer base – some of the initiatives include FX flows, NTBs, Intermediaries, Gift City, Liabilities, CMS, Family Offices, etc.
- Leading a team of RMs for business development and enhance FS relationships resulting in increased revenue, within the framework and guidelines of the Bank and Regulators
- Work with various internal stakeholders including WBP, Treasury, Axis Capital, Axis Trustee, Strategy team, Axis MF, Ops & Service, etc. to deliver value to FS clients and portfolio co.s
- Strengthen relationship with existing customer base so as to become primary banker with operating a/cs, generate sustained flow business and identify opportunities for cross sell.
- Source new customers to generate revenue
- Use FS relationships to originate new relationships for WBCG in NEG and MC. By virtue of their investments in portfolio companies, Financial Sponsors have significant influence in banking partners of their portfolio companies.



Also many strategic initiatives in portfolio companies are driven by Financial Sponsors and hence Financial Sponsors drive many banking conversations directly on behalf of the portfolio companies.
- Play a key role in New Economy Group – Start-up onboarding & activation through FS client engagement specially where we are LP investors
- Review daily/ periodic media reports/news with a view to identify business opportunities
- Ensure implementation of due processes, guidelines and Bank’s code of conduct in all transactions
- Provide feedback to Ops & Service / Product / Process Monitoring Teams for streamlining the processes to ensure TAT reduction and seamless delivery to FS clients

QualificationsOptimal qualification for success on the job is:

- CFA/ CA/ MBA (Finance) from a recognized institute

- Good client engagement and relationship management skills
- Ability to collaborate and work with various teams internally and the FS ecosystem

- A solid understanding of financial statements, ratios
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory norms
- Robust communication and presentation skill
