Role & responsibilities The Production Department is responsible for planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling the manufacturing process to ensure products are produced on time, at the required quality, and within the planned cost.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Production Planning and Scheduling

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.

- Schedule production according to customer orders and delivery deadlines.

- Allocate manpower, machines, materials, and other resources.

1. Production Execution

- Ensure production activities are carried out according to the plan.

- Monitor production output and achieve daily targets.

- Coordinate with operators, supervisors, and other departments.

1. Quality Control

- Ensure products meet specified quality standards.

- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

- Coordinate with the Quality Department to reduce defects and rework.

1. Manpower Management

- Allocate workers according to production requirements.

- Monitor employee performance and productivity.

- Ensure proper training and adherence to workplace discipline.

1. Machine and Equipment Management

- Ensure machines and equipment are used efficiently.





- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs.

- Minimize machine downtime.

1. Material Management

- Ensure raw materials and components are available for production.

- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, and Planning departments.

- Minimize material wastage and unnecessary consumption.

1. Safety and Compliance

- Ensure employees follow safety rules and procedures.

- Maintain a clean and organized workplace.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

1. Cost and Waste Control

- Reduce production costs and material wastage.

- Improve productivity and resource utilization.

- Monitor scrap, rejection, and rework.

1. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

- Track daily production output against targets.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Prepare production reports and communicate deviations to management.

1. Continuous Improvement

- Identify bottlenecks and production delays.

- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency.

- Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other improvement initiatives.
