Senior Accountant Job Role in NBFC Designation: Senior Accountant / Senior Accounts Officer

Department: Accounts & Finance

Reports To: Finance Manager / Accounts Head / CFO

Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-Day Accounting
2. Loan Accounting .

- Reconcile loan accounts with the NBFC's loan-management system.

1. Bank & Cash Reconciliation
2. Collection Accounting
3. Financial Reporting

- Prepare monthly financial statements and MIS.
- Prepare outstanding loan, collection and overdue reports.
- Assist in preparation of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account and Trial Balance.
- Provide financial information to management.

Statutory Compliance

- Assist in GST, TDS and income-tax related work.
- Maintain records required for statutory filings.
- Coordinate with CA/auditors for accounting and compliance matters.
- Assist in RBI/NBFC-related reporting and compliance wherever applicable.

1. Audit & Internal Control

- Coordinate with statutory/internal auditors.
- Provide supporting documents and schedules.
- Check accounting accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval of transactions.

1. MIS & Management Reporting

- Prepare branch-wise and product-wise financial reports.
- Prepare collection, disbursement and overdue MIS.
- Monitor expenses and income.
- Provide reports to senior management.

1. Tally / Accounting Software

- Maintain accounts in Tally or relevant accounting software.
- Maintain ledgers, vouchers, schedules and supporting documents.
- Ensure proper classification of income, expenses, assets and liabilities.
