Role Description This is a full time, on-site Video Editor role based at the Visakhapatnam campus.

The Video

Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into engaging videos for academic, promotional, and institutional communication purposes, ensuring alignment with GITAM’s brand and messaging. Day-to-day tasks include assembling and refining video sequences, adding titles and graphics, performing basic color correction, and collaborating with content, marketing, and academic teams to understand project requirements. The role also involves preparing video assets for various platforms, maintaining an organized media library, and meeting production deadlines for events, campaigns,



and digital content.

Editor will contribute creative ideas to enhance storytelling, visual impact, and audience engagement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Video Production and Video Editing skills, including experience handling raw footage, timelines, and post-production workflows.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency, mood, and quality across different projects.
- Candidates should possess Motion Graphics and Graphics skills to create titles, lower-thirds, overlays, and simple visual elements for video content.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic audio editing tools.
- Candidates should possess strong visual storytelling ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to follow brand guidelines while contributing creative ideas.
- Relevant qualification such as a degree or diploma in Film, Media, Visual Communication, Multimedia, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in educational institutions, corporate communications, or digital media production will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Visakhapatnam, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
