We are looking for an experienced Vendor Development Manager to strengthen our supplier network,



develop reliable vendors and support cost-effective sourcing for our Chakan plant.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, evaluate and develop new vendors for automotive components, raw materials and bought-out parts.
- Develop a strong supplier base to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.
- Conduct vendor assessments, capability evaluations and supplier audits.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Quality, Production, Engineering and NPD teams for vendor development activities.
- Drive cost reduction, localisation and alternate source development initiatives.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing and payment conditions with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance against quality, delivery, cost and service parameters.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality rejections, delays and capacity constraints.
- Support new product development by identifying and developing suppliers for new components.
- Ensure supplier compliance with company standards, quality systems and applicable automotive requirements.
- Maintain vendor databases, development trackers, performance reports and documentation.
- Build long-term strategic partnerships with suppliers to improve supply chain efficiency
