Role Description This is a full time remote role for a Video & photograph Editor at The Purplee Media.

The Video

Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling raw video footage into polished, engaging content for social media platforms and digital campaigns. Day-to-day tasks include trimming clips, adding transitions and effects, selecting music, inserting graphics and text, and ensuring videos align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives. The role involves collaborating with content creators, social media managers, and designers to translate briefs into visually compelling videos, while meeting deadlines and maintaining consistent quality standards.

Editor will also optimize video formats for different platforms and provide creative input on storytelling, pacing, and visual style.

Qualifications

- Strong video and photograph editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Ability to create social media-ready video content tailored for platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
- Basic motion graphics and animation skills (e.g., Adobe After Effects) for titles, overlays, and simple visual effects.
- Understanding of digital marketing and social media trends to ensure video content supports campaign goals.
- Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, and sound design, with attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs, incorporate feedback, and work collaboratively with remote teams.
- Relevant experience in video editing for brands, agencies, or content creators; a portfolio or showreel is required.
- Preferred: Knowledge of color correction and grading, basic audio editing, and familiarity with influencer or content-led campaigns
