Job Summary The Skip Tracer will be responsible for locating individuals and collateral associated with delinquent accounts using investigative techniques, public records, proprietary databases, and advanced skip tracing tools. The candidate must have strong analytical skills, knowledge of the US collections process, and an understanding of applicable compliance requirements, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Key Responsibilities

- Use skip tracing tools and databases such as LexisNexis, Accurint, CLEAR, and TLOxp to locate individuals.
- Conduct online research using public records, internet searches, and other legally permissible sources.
- Verify contact details, addresses, employment information, and other relevant data.




- Analyse findings and share verified information with collections and asset recovery teams.
- Maintain accurate records of research activities, findings, and case outcomes.
- Communicate with third parties in accordance with applicable privacy and debt collection regulations.
- Develop effective strategies to trace hard-to-find individuals and assets.
- Collaborate with collections, legal, and recovery teams to support debt recovery operations.
- Prepare timely reports on completed investigations and pending cases.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in a US process is mandatory.
- Experience in compliance-related operations is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant skip tracing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US collections processes and applicable regulations, including FDCPA.
- Experience using skip tracing tools, online databases, and public records.
- Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accurate data management.
- High attention to detail, persistence, and the ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.

Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with CLEAR, TLOxp, LexisNexis, or Accurint.
- Debt collection certification, such as ACA International's Professional Debt Collector certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related non-technical discipline.
