The Heritage School, Vasant Kunj, invites applications from qualified and dedicated educators for the position of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Social Science, with a postgraduate qualification in Economics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons, fostering critical thinking and developing students’ understanding of economic, historical, geographical and political concepts, as applicable to the assigned classes.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver Social Science lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum and NCERT learning objectives.
- Explain economic concepts using real-world examples, case studies, current affairs and data interpretation.
- Develop students’ analytical thinking, research skills, civic awareness and problem-solving abilities.
- Use inquiry-based, experiential and interdisciplinary teaching strategies to enhance student engagement.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers and assessment materials.
- Assess learning outcomes, maintain academic records and provide constructive feedback.
- Support differentiated learning and address the diverse academic needs of students.
- Integrate appropriate digital resources, maps, graphs and other teaching-learning materials.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent interactions, school activities and professional development programmes.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive classroom environment.





Essential Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics, as required for this vacancy.
- Bachelor’s degree with the relevant subject combination required for TGT Social Science under the applicable recruitment rules.
- B.Ed. from a recognised institution, where prescribed.
- CTET Paper II qualification, where applicable under the relevant recruitment requirements.
- Candidates must satisfy the applicable CBSE, NCTE and Delhi school-teacher eligibility norms.

Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong subject knowledge in Economics and Social Science.
- Excellent communication and classroom facilitation skills.
- Ability to connect academic concepts with real-world developments.
- Competence in lesson planning, assessment design and student progress monitoring.
- Familiarity with CBSE/NCERT curriculum expectations and competency-based learning.
- Ability to promote critical thinking, collaboration and independent learning.

Experience Relevant teaching experience in Social Science or Economics at the middle or secondary school level is preferred.
