About the role

We are looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of AI solutions and enterprise applications, from discovery and planning through development, client acceptance and production rollout.

You will own delivery commitments, client communication, resource planning and project financial performance across multiple engagements. You started in software engineering and progressed into technical leadership and delivery management, and you can still understand architecture, review code when needed and challenge technical assumptions.

This is an active delivery leadership role. You will work closely with technical leads, the Head of AI, engineering leadership, business analysts and sales to turn client requirements into achievable delivery plans. You will also help shape how delivery works at Aptagrim as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

Delivery ownership

- Own the delivery lifecycle: discovery, scope definition and estimation through implementation, testing, acceptance, deployment and support transition.
- Run multiple engagements with clear milestones, owners, dependencies and acceptance criteria.
- Build realistic plans that account for technical uncertainty, data availability, integration dependencies and client responsibilities.
- Spot risks early and lead corrective action when scope, timelines, costs or quality drift from the agreed plan.
- Manage scope changes through documented impact assessment and client agreement.

Technical and AI delivery

- Work with the Head of AI and engineering leads to assess feasibility, architecture, effort and implementation options.
- Review technical designs and code when needed to investigate risks or unblock delivery.
- Ensure teams follow agreed engineering, testing, security and deployment standards.




- For AI engagements, agree data-readiness requirements, evaluation criteria and human-review needs with the client and technical team.
- Set clear decision points between feasibility, pilot and production rollout.
- Ensure production releases have monitoring, operational ownership and support arrangements in place.
- Factor infrastructure, model/API and maintenance costs into solution choices.

Client and commercial management

- Be the primary contact for delivery commitments, progress, risks, scope changes and escalations.
- Explain technical constraints and trade-offs clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
- Support sales with discovery, estimates, assumptions and statements of work before commitments are made.
- Own effort forecasts, staffing plans, budget tracking and delivery margins.
- Track acceptance and billable milestones, working with finance on invoicing documentation.
- Build client confidence through transparent reporting, timely escalation and dependable follow-through.

Team leadership and improvement

- Lead Technical Project Managers and Business Analysts, and coordinate delivery through project technical leads.
- Plan capacity and staffing with engineering leadership.
- Coach and develop your team, building a delivery bench that can take on larger engagements.
- Set clear expectations, delegate well and address performance or collaboration issues early.
- Run practical delivery reviews and retrospectives that improve estimation, execution and quality.
- Keep documentation and reporting clear without adding unnecessary process.

Required Skills & Experience

- 7+ years in software,



starting in engineering and moving through technical leadership into client delivery ownership.
- Background in software consulting, product engineering services or enterprise implementation.
- A track record of delivering complex enterprise applications end to end, including production deployment and client acceptance.
- Hands-on experience delivering AI or data-driven solutions, with a working grasp of data dependencies, evaluation and production risk.
- Ability to read code, understand application architecture and constructively challenge plans and estimates.
- Experience with Python or Node.js backends, contemporary web applications, APIs, databases, cloud platforms and CI/CD.
- Experience running multiple projects with cross-functional teams and enterprise stakeholders, including distributed or offshore teams.
- Strong planning, estimation, risk and scope control, plus ownership of budgets, effort forecasts and margins.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including difficult client conversations and escalations.
- Working knowledge of Agile delivery and tools such as Jira.
- Comfort in a growing company, balancing delivery discipline with practical decision-making.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred

- Delivery of generative AI, document intelligence, knowledge systems or intelligent workflow applications.
- Experience taking AI pilots into production.
- PMP or an equivalent certification (PRINCE2, SAFe, CSM).
- Familiarity with enterprise security reviews and operational readiness requirements.
