About the Role

StarAshiyana Construction Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor Engineer to carry out land and construction surveys, establish site levels and coordinates, verify dimensions, and ensure accurate execution of construction work as per approved drawings and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)1. Site Surveying & Setting Out

- Conduct land, topographical, and construction site surveys.
- Establish reference points, benchmarks, grid lines, coordinates, and levels.
- Carry out setting out for foundations, columns, beams, roads, and other structural elements.
- Ensure accurate alignment, elevation, and positioning of construction components.

1. Survey Equipment Handling

- Operate and maintain Total Station, Auto Level, Dumpy Level, GPS/GNSS equipment, and other surveying instruments.
- Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate calibration when required.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of survey equipment.

1. Drawing Interpretation & Measurement

- Read and interpret civil, structural, architectural, and site layout drawings.
- Verify dimensions, levels, coordinates, and elevations against approved drawings.
- Identify discrepancies between site conditions and drawings and report them to the Project Manager or Site Engineer.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings and survey records.

1. Construction Monitoring & Quality Control

- Conduct level and alignment checks during excavation, foundation, concreting, steel erection, and other construction activities.
- Verify plinth levels, slab levels, column positions, and structural alignments.
- Coordinate with site engineers and quality teams to ensure construction accuracy.
- Report deviations and assist in corrective measurements.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain survey registers, level books, measurement records, and coordinate data.
- Prepare daily survey reports and maintain records of completed work.
- Support quantity measurement, site progress monitoring, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders whenever required.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a relevant surveying qualification.
- 2–5 years of experience in construction surveying.
- Hands-on experience with Total Station and Auto Level.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and interpretation of civil and structural drawings.
- Understanding of benchmarks, coordinates, reduced levels (RL), grid lines, and setting-out procedures.
- Valuable mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently at construction sites and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or steel/PEB construction projects.
- Practical knowledge of foundation layout, column alignment, anchor bolt positioning, and steel structure erection is an advantage.
- Willingness to work at project sites and coordinate with the execution team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.

- Accuracy of setting-out and level measurements.
- Timely completion of assigned surveying activities.
- Reduction in rework due to surveying errors.
- Accuracy and timely submission of survey records.
- Compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.
- Proper maintenance and calibration coordination of survey instruments.
