1. Job purpose To supervise daily departmental activities, ensure smooth production or maintenance operations, maintain product quality, achieve targets, and ensure workplace safety.

2. Key responsibilities

- Team management: Allocate daily work to operators and technicians, monitor attendance, and ensure workforce discipline.
- Production planning: Execute daily production plans and achieve shift-wise targets.
- Pump assembly: Supervise pump assembly, fitting, alignment, and component installation as applicable.
- Quality control: Ensure products meet quality standards and approved specifications.
- Testing and inspection: Monitor pump performance tests, leakage tests, pressure tests, and inspection records where applicable.
- Maintenance: Coordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment or machinery breakdowns.
- Safety: Ensure employees follow PPE requirements, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards.
- Documentation: Maintain production reports,



rejection records, downtime reports, and shift handover records.
- Coordination: Work with Quality, Stores, Maintenance, Purchase, and Planning departments.
- Continuous improvement: Reduce rejection, material wastage, downtime, and rework.

3. Required qualifications and experience

- Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering preferred.
- Experience: 25 years in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or industrial equipment.
- Technical knowledge: Engineering drawings, measuring instruments, quality inspection, and production processes.
- Computer skills: Basic MS Excel and daily reporting.
- Personal skills: Leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team handling.
