Role Description The Subject Matter Expert at CuriousEd will contribute deep academic and curriculum expertise to design and refine learning content for Cambridge school programs. In this full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, the Subject Matter Expert will develop high-quality lesson plans, assessments, and classroom resources aligned with Cambridge standards and learner outcomes. The role includes collaborating with instructional designers and product teams to integrate subject expertise into AI-assisted tools and personalized learning pathways.
The Subject Matter
Expert will review and validate content for accuracy and relevance, provide guidance on pedagogy and classroom implementation, and support educators through training sessions, workshops, and feedback on resource usage. The position also involves staying current with curriculum updates,
educational best practices, and emerging trends in teaching and learning within their subject areas.
Qualifications
- Strong subject matter expertise in one or more Cambridge curriculum areas (e.g., Mathematics, Science, English, Social Sciences), with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, student-friendly explanations.
- Experience in curriculum design and instructional planning, including developing lesson plans, assessments, and learning activities aligned to learning objectives and standards.
- Background in classroom teaching or educator support, with practical knowledge of pedagogy, classroom management, and strategies to foster curiosity and active learning.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (content developers, product managers, engineers) and provide clear, constructive feedback on educational resources and tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in academic content and documentation.
- Comfort with educational technology platforms and basic data literacy to interpret learner performance and engagement insights.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a relevant subject discipline; experience with Cambridge or international curricula is highly preferred.
