Store Associate

Location: Marol, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Experience: 2-4 years

About the Company The organization operates from Metal Power House in Marol, Mumbai, with a strong need for disciplined stores support within a production-oriented environment. Its stores function enables the inward receipt, safe storage, accurate tracking, and timely outward movement of materials required for daily operations. The team works closely with production, calibration, PPC, purchase, and packing functions to maintain material availability against the production plan.

This role contributes to reliable inventory records, compliant documentation, effective space utilization, and smooth material flow across the facility. The organization values practical execution, real-time SAP updates, attention to safety, and prompt escalation of discrepancies or availability risks. Store associates are expected to support continuous improvement, participate in skill development, and help maintain ISO, health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

The position offers an opportunity to build hands-on experience across stores operations, inventory control, cross-functional coordination, and SAP-enabled material management in an onsite workplace.

About the Role

As a Store Associate, you will support day-to-day stores operations by ensuring materials are received, stored, recorded, retrieved, and issued accurately against production requirements. You will coordinate with production, calibration, PPC, purchase, and packing teams to maintain material availability and escalate risks promptly to the Stores Manager. The role owns accurate documentation for inward, outward, and internal material movements, including timely GRN preparation, stock transfers, and real-time SAP updates.

You will also monitor inventory accuracy, support space optimization, participate in compliance and safety checks, and contribute to process improvements. Success means dependable material flow, accurate records, safe stores operations, and minimal disruption to production.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage inward and outward material movement by following storage, retrieval, and issue processes aligned with the production plan, ensuring materials are available when required and movement records remain accurate.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes, stock transfer records, and other movement documents with accuracy, enabling traceability, audit readiness, and timely updating of inventory information.
- Record all material movements in SAP in real time, investigate basic discrepancies, and escalate unresolved inventory abnormalities or system issues to the Stores Manager.
- Coordinate with production, calibration, PPC, purchase, and packing teams to understand requirements,

resolve material availability concerns, and prevent avoidable interruptions to operational schedules.
- Support inventory checks, space utilization reviews, material flow improvements, and stores ramp-up activities by identifying operational gaps and sharing practical recommendations with the Stores Manager.
- Conduct routine checks for safe storage, ISO adherence, health, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance, while reporting risks and supporting corrective actions within the store.
- Monitor daily stores performance indicators, including inventory accuracy and material availability, and provide timely updates that help management prioritize corrective action.
- Support store associate capability building through on-the-job guidance, knowledge sharing, and participation in training activities that improve consistency and process discipline.

Essential Skills & Technologies

- Working knowledge of stores operations, inventory control, material inward and outward processes, stock transfers, and basic warehouse documentation is essential for reliable daily execution.
- Practical SAP familiarity for recording goods movements, maintaining stock information, and resolving routine inventory-related issues is required, along with comfort using basic office tools.
- Strong coordination, record-keeping, follow-up, and escalation skills are needed to work effectively with production, calibration, PPC, purchase, packing, and stores stakeholders.
- Awareness of safe material handling, storage discipline, ISO requirements, and health, safety, environmental, and regulatory expectations is important for compliant store operations.
- Ability to check physical stock against system records, identify discrepancies, and maintain accuracy while working to production-driven timelines is essential for this role.

Additional Plus

- Exposure to manufacturing stores, production material planning, or a facility supporting multiple operational functions will help the associate understand urgency and material priorities.
- Experience participating in inventory counts, space optimization, stores audits, or continuous improvement initiatives would support faster contribution to store performance improvements.

- Prior experience guiding junior store associates or sharing process knowledge can help strengthen team consistency and on-the-job skill development.

What You'll Bring

- You bring two to four years of practical experience in stores, inventory, warehouse, or material coordination work, with a disciplined approach to receiving, storing, issuing, and documenting materials.
- You are comfortable working in an onsite, production-oriented workplace where material availability, accurate records, and timely coordination directly influence operational continuity.
- You understand the importance of preparing GRNs, maintaining stock transfer records, and updating SAP transactions promptly so physical inventory and system records remain aligned.
- You pay close attention to discrepancies, abnormal stock conditions, documentation gaps, and safety risks, escalating issues early rather than allowing them to affect production or compliance.
- You can coordinate constructively with production, calibration, PPC, purchase, packing, and stores teams, following up on requirements and communicating delays clearly to the Stores Manager.
- You bring basic knowledge of inventory checks, space utilization, material flow, safe storage, ISO expectations, and workplace safety protocols.
- You are willing to learn, share practical knowledge with store associates, participate in improvement initiatives, and contribute to a more organized, accurate, and responsive stores function.
- A 12th Pass qualification, dependable attendance, physical organization of materials, and a steady focus on process discipline will help you succeed in this role.

Why Join Us

- Own work that directly supports production continuity by keeping materials available, traceable, safely stored, and accurately reflected in SAP and related records.
- Build broader operations capability through daily coordination with production, calibration, PPC, purchase, and packing teams, gaining visibility into how materials enable facility performance.
- Develop practical expertise in inventory accuracy, GRNs, stock transfers, space utilization, compliance checks, safety protocols, and continuous improvement within a structured stores environment.
- Contribute to a more reliable stores operation while receiving opportunities for on-the-job learning, knowledge sharing, and skill development alongside experienced operational stakeholders.

What We Offer

- A hands-on onsite opportunity to grow within stores, inventory control, SAP-enabled material management, and production coordination at the Metal Power House facility in Marol.
