Piping

Engineer – Plant 3D Software role is a full-time, in office position based in the Pune Division. The role involves developing and reviewing piping designs and layouts in Plant 3D, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. The Sr.

Piping

Engineer will perform detailed piping calculations, coordinate stress analysis activities, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design issues. Daily responsibilities include preparing and updating piping models and drawings, reviewing isometrics, supporting construction and installation teams, and participating in design review meetings.



The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, maintaining documentation, and supporting quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Piping Design and Piping layout, including familiarity with Plant 3D or similar 3D design tools.
- Candidates should possess skills in Piping and Pipe system engineering, covering material selection, routing, and equipment connectivity.
- Candidates should possess skills in Stress Analysis and related calculations for piping systems, considering codes, standards, and operating conditions.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in engineering calculations, design documentation, and technical report preparation.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced qualifications or certifications in piping engineering are an advantage.
- Experience in process, oil and gas, energy, or related industries, with exposure to international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI, API).
- Ability to interpret P&IDs;, equipment layouts, and structural drawings, and to coordinate with process, structural, and instrumentation teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and ability to work in a collaborative on-site environment.
