– Sr. ELECTRICAL DRAUGHTSMAN

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Draftsman with strong expertise in electrical drafting and design coordination, preferably in the interior fit-out or construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating detailed electrical drawings, including lighting layouts, power layouts, cable routing, and electrical distribution drawings. The role also involves ensuring technical accuracy, incorporating engineering and consultant comments, coordinating with other disciplines, preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings, and guiding junior draftsmen to ensure timely and quality delivery of electrical drawings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Prepare detailed electrical layouts, lighting layouts, power layouts, and equipment connection drawings based on engineering inputs and project specifications.
- Develop cable routing layouts, cable tray layouts, and electrical containment drawings.
- Prepare electrical distribution layouts and single-line diagrams based on approved engineering designs.
- Develop detailed electrical working drawings, shop drawings, and installation details for construction and interior fit-out projects.
- Coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, interior design, mechanical, plumbing, and fire-fighting layouts.
- Review drawings for dimensions, circuit references, equipment locations, load distribution details, and drawing consistency.
- Incorporate comments and revisions received from electrical engineers, consultants, clients, and site teams.
- Identify clashes between electrical services, HVAC systems, ceiling layouts, structural elements, and other building components.
- Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to resolve drawing discrepancies and service-routing issues.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications,



applicable electrical standards, and drafting requirements.
- Prepare and update as-built drawings based on approved site changes and actual installation conditions.
- Verify dimensions, cable tray routes, equipment clearances, drawing references, and annotations before submission.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and installation teams to clarify electrical drawing requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Guide junior electrical draftsmen, review their drawings, and ensure technical accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, submission records, and technical documentation.
- Ensure drawings and revisions are completed and submitted within project schedules and deadlines.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing electrical layouts and technical drawings.
- Good knowledge of electrical drafting, lighting layouts, power layouts, and equipment connection drawings.
- Experience in preparing cable routing, cable tray, and containment layouts.
- Ability to prepare and interpret electrical distribution layouts and single-line diagrams based on engineering inputs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, engineering specifications, and technical documentation.
- Understanding of electrical circuits, equipment locations, cable routing, and electrical installation requirements.
- Knowledge of electrical coordination with architectural, interior design, HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.




- Experience in identifying drawing clashes and resolving coordination issues.
- Familiarity with electrical shop drawings, as-built drawings, and drawing revision procedures.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP and BIM coordination tools will be an added advantage.
- Robust technical detailing, drawing review, and quality control skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with engineers, consultants, contractors, and site teams.
- Ability to guide junior draftsmen, manage multiple drawing tasks, and meet project deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in electrical drafting, electrical design documentation, or MEP coordination, preferably in interior fit-out or construction projects.
- Hands-on experience in preparing electrical layouts, lighting and power drawings, cable tray layouts, and equipment connection drawings.
- Practical knowledge of electrical distribution layouts, single-line diagrams, and electrical installation details.
- Experience coordinating electrical drawings with architectural, interior design, and other MEP disciplines.
- Experience preparing shop drawings, incorporating revisions, and developing as-built drawings.
- Previous experience reviewing drawings and guiding junior electrical draftsmen will be preferred.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP, BIM workflows, and clash detection will be an added advantage.
- Experience in commercial offices, retail spaces, hospitality, or other commercial fit-out projects will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of drawing standards, technical documentation, quality control, and submission schedules.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
