Role & responsibilities : Logistics & Operations Manager

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Logistics & Operations Manager to oversee our end-to-end supply chain functions. This role is critical in ensuring that our inventory moves efficiently from production to the end consumer, maintaining high service levels while optimizing costs.

The ideal candidate will be a master of coordination, capable of managing complex logistics networks, overseeing large-scale inventory allocations, and spearheading the expansion of our physical warehouse footprint.

Key Responsibilities

1. Overall Operations & Logistics Management

- End-to-End Oversight: Lead and manage daily logistics operations, including inbound freight, outbound distribution, and last-mile delivery.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve operational workflows to increase speed, reduce errors, and lower overhead costs.
- Performance Tracking: Define and monitor KPIs such as Order Cycle Time, Freight Cost per Unit, and On-Time Delivery rates.

2. Strategic Inventory Planning & Allocation

- Demand Alignment:



Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to align inventory levels with market demand and seasonal trends.
- Stock Allocation: Manage the intelligent distribution of stock across multiple nodes to ensure product availability while minimizing "dead stock" or overages.
- Audit & Accuracy: Oversee regular stock counts and reconciliation processes to maintain high inventory accuracy across all locations.

3. Warehouse Liaising & Network Expansion

- Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for third-party logistics (3PL) providers and warehouse partners.
- Current Facility Launches: Lead the end-to-end process of opening new warehouses, from site selection and contract negotiation to layout design and staffing.
- Logistics Tie-ups: Identify and negotiate contracts with new courier partners, freight forwarders, and technology providers to enhance the logistics network.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in logistics, supply chain management, or operations (e-commerce or retail experience preferred).
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to manage complex inventory models and multi-node distribution systems.
- Project Management: Experience in facility management or launching new operational sites from scratch.
- Negotiation: Strong ability to negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) and pricing with vendors.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, and advanced Excel.
