Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data systems and infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for building robust data pipelines, ensuring data availability and quality, and supporting enterprise analytics and machine learning initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement large-scale, distributed data platforms including data lakes and warehouses across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Develop scalable and secure data architectures to meet evolving business requirements.

- Build, automate, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.

- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

- Ensure high performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness of data infrastructure using industry best practices.





- Implement robust data governance and security protocols aligned with regulatory standards such as GDPR and HIPAA.

- Integrate data platforms with enterprise applications and services, ensuring seamless end-to-end data flow.

- Provide mentorship to junior engineers, lead technical projects, and contribute to strategic decisions related to enterprise data initiatives.

- Continuously evaluate and recommend emerging tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve productivity and system resilience.

Qualifications / Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, big data systems, or a related technical domain.

- Proven experience in building and managing large-scale data systems, preferably in a cloud-native environment.

- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering tasks.

- Strong command of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.

- Hands-on experience with big data frameworks including Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, or Flink.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (e.g., S3, Redshift, EMR), Azure, or GCP (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow).

- Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools like Apache Airflow, DBT, or Informatica.

- Knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance practices.
