Specialist Assistant Manager – Financial Health and Insights Team

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and managing financial projects, guiding team members, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of deliverables. You will collaborate with global stakeholders, drive process improvements, and contribute to the development of best practices within the finance function.

Work you will do

Service delivery

- Financial Analysis:

– Support Global leadership and member firms with financial reporting and analysis by leading projects and providing valuable business insights and recommendations to management.

– SME for all financial data including P&L;, B/S, cashflows, macroeconomic data, etc. along with Member Firm financials and Deloitte’s businesses with strong analytical abilities.

– Exhibit Executive Presence and strong communication skills to present project findings to US and Global Leaders.

– Exhibit an in-depth understanding of the businesses to derive strategic insights and recommendations.

– Should be good at complex Financial Modelling projects which should be scalable.

– Possess strong people and project management skills with the ability to execute projects with minimal guidance from Managers/EMs.

– Providing actionable insights/remediation measures to the stakeholders on various projects.

– Build executive-level decks for executive meetings and review/validate files created by the team.

– Cross collaborates with various teams on business initiatives and various engagement initiatives.

– Work occasionally on SAP HANA data warehouses to extract the internal data pertaining to member firms.

· Team Management:

– Lead/coach/mentor team members, assign roles and responsibilities and set clear and tangible expectations and goals.

– Delegate tasks to the team members and coordinate activities within the team.

– Conduct training on both technical and soft skills for the team.

– Involve in internal recruiting and mentoring and organizing firmwide initiatives.

· Lead financial analysis projects: Lead end-to-end financial reporting and analysis projects for Global leadership and member firms; provide value-added insights and recommendations to stakeholders on issues impacting performance.

· Subject matter expertise: Serve as a SME for financial data and performance assessment inputs including profit and loss (P&L;), balance sheet (B/S), cash flows, macroeconomic data, member firm financials, and Deloitte business performance.

· Strategic understanding of the business: Demonstrate strong business acumen and an in-depth understanding of the underlying businesses to derive forward-looking insights and connect financial outcomes to operational drivers.

· Complex financial modeling: Lead complex financial modeling efforts (e.g., scalable scenario/sensitivity models), ensuring models are robust, well-controlled (checks/validation), documented, and usable by the team.

· Executive presence & stakeholder management: Present findings and recommendations to Global leaders with executive presence; handle questions by clearly articulating with confidence.





· Quality control & executive-ready outputs: Build executive-level decks for leadership meetings; review, validate, and provide quality assurance (QA) on analysis produced by the team, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and concise narrative.

· Cross-functional collaboration: Partner across teams to support business initiatives and engagement priorities, aligning inputs, timelines, and outputs across stakeholders.

· Tools & data platform usage: Work with Deloitte Global reporting tools and data platforms as needed, including occasional data extraction from SAP HANA data warehouses to support member firm analysis.

· Conflict management: Learn techniques for handling conflicts within the team, mediating disputes, and promoting constructive dialogue to achieve resolutions that benefit everyone involved.

· Individual development: Cultivate a professional network within the organization i.e. Global Finance / USI global, represent GF in various forums, contribute to larger global programs / initiatives through volunteering; embrace a growth mindset and actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge and skills through training, workshops, and self-study.

· People development: Clearly communicate goals, expectations, and feedback; provide guidance and support to team members, actively participate in their professional development; conduct regular check-ins with team members, address issues, provide regular feedback and progress to the team / business leaders; acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of team members and cultivate a culture of encouragement and recognition.

Qualifications required





· 5-7 years of relevant work experience with MBA Finance or CA/CA-Inter/ACCA/CFA/CMA or any other Professional qualification in Finance; proven track record in an accounting, corporate finance, operations, or consulting role, preferably in a global organization; rigorous analytical and quantitative focus. · Clear, concise verbal and written communication. Must be able to effectively communicate with DTTL Finance team members, internal clients, and all levels of management of the firm.

· Strong understanding of Financial Statements Analysis, accounting concepts, and the linkages across P&L;, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow statements.

· Should be a subject matter expert on Advanced Financial Statements Analysis. Should possess analytical acumen, quantitative aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.

· Demonstrated subject matter expertise in advanced financial statement analysis, including strong analytical acumen, quantitative aptitude, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving.

· Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint presentations, and Excel.

· Knowledge of research tools (EIU, Thomson One, Factiva) preferred.

· Knowledge of the Financial Systems Analysis Office, HANA, is preferred.
