- Maintain architecture documentation, decision records, risks, and dependencies.
- Promote reusable solutions and minimise customer-specific development.
2. API and Integration Design
- Design and document REST APIs, webhooks, callbacks, event-driven integrations, and secure file transfers.
- Develop API specifications using OpenAPI/Swagger, including payloads, validation, error handling, versioning, retries, and idempotency.
- Define authentication, authorisation, certificates, and secure connectivity.
- Work with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure API Management, Service Bus, Functions, and App Services.

4. Customer Integration Delivery
- Act as the primary technical contact for bank integration teams and third-party vendors.
- Coordinate connectivity, certificates, whitelisting, environments, and security approvals.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, go-live, and post-launch support.
- Ensure integrations are properly documented and handed over to Support and IT Operations.
5. Security and Compliance
- Ensure designs meet banking security requirements and enterprise security standards.
- Address data protection, encryption, data residency, audit logging, and retention requirements.
- Support security assessments and compliance reviews involving RBI guidance, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and CERT-In requirements.
6. Architecture Standards and Continuous Improvement
- Develop reusable architecture patterns, integration templates, and API standards.
- Improve onboarding efficiency across multiple banking customers.
- Capture implementation lessons and collaborate with global architecture, Product, and Engineering teams.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Enterprise solution architecture and integration design,
preferably in banking or financial services.
- Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON, and XML.
- OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, mutual TLS, certificates, and API security.
- Microsoft Azure integration services and API management.
- Event-driven messaging, webhooks, callbacks, batch processing, and SFTP.
- API versioning, retries, timeouts, error handling, and idempotency.
- Experience integrating with loan origination systems, loan management systems, core banking platforms, document management systems, and bank middleware.
- Understanding of banking network security, release governance, SIT, and UAT.
- Experience writing technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
Valuable-to-Have Skills
- .NET or Java development experience.
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
