Software Engineer - AI-Driven Test Automation

Job Summary :

We are looking for a Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Java development, a robust foundation in Quality Assurance (QA), and hands-on expertise in AI-driven testing, automation engineering, CI/CD, and observability.

The ideal candidate will build reusable automation frameworks, intelligent testing tools, and AI-powered engineering solutions that can be adopted across multiple teams and applications.

This role focuses on software engineering and scalable automation solutions rather than manual testing or routine test execution.

Experience working on financial-domain applications is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop reusable automation frameworks, testing libraries, and AI-powered tools using Java and related technologies.
- Build AI-driven testing solutions and intelligent automation capabilities to improve test coverage, efficiency, and defect detection.
- Integrate automated testing solutions into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous validation and faster software delivery.
- Develop scalable automation components and testing agents that can be reused across different applications and engineering teams.
- Implement observability practices using logs, metrics, and traces to monitor application behaviour, identify issues, and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with software engineers, QA teams, and platform teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver practical engineering solutions.
- Engage with internal users to understand requirements, gather feedback, and improve the usability and adoption of automation tools.
- Investigate complex technical issues, identify root causes,



and implement improvements to automation reliability and performance.
- Apply engineering best practices, including code reviews, version control, documentation, and maintainable software design.
- Support the adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices across development and testing workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in Java development.
- Previous experience in QA, test automation, or automation engineering, with practical experience building and maintaining automation solutions.
- Hands-on experience implementing AI-driven testing or AI-enabled automation capabilities.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated quality checks within software delivery workflows.
- Experience developing reusable frameworks, libraries, tools, or automation components.
- Knowledge of observability concepts, including application logging, monitoring, metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Strong SQL skills, including writing queries, validating data, and investigating database-related issues.
- Good understanding of software testing principles, debugging, root-cause analysis, and software development best practices.
- Ability to design scalable solutions and work effectively with multiple engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in banking, financial services, capital markets, or other financial-domain projects.
- Exposure to AI agents, LLM-based automation, or intelligent testing frameworks.
- Experience with modern automation tools, source control systems, build tools, and deployment pipelines.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and drive adoption of engineering tools across teams.
