Position: Social Studies Teacher (Primary Section)

Reports To: Principal / School Administrator (Contact- (phone hidden))

Job Summary:

The Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for teaching Social Studies concepts effectively, developing students’ understanding through practical and interactive learning, and supporting their overall academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deliver effective Social Studies lessons according to the school curriculum.
2. Teach History, Geography, Civics, and other relevant Social Science topics to students from the Junior Section to Class V.
3. Develop lesson plans, worksheets, classroom activities, quizzes, and assignments.
4. Explain concepts in a simple and engaging manner according to students’ age and learning levels.
5. Prepare question papers, conduct assessments, evaluate answer sheets, and maintain academic records.
6. Monitor students’ academic progress and provide additional support wherever required.
7. Maintain classroom discipline and promote a positive, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment.
8. Encourage critical thinking, general awareness, civic responsibility, and an understanding of history and the world around us.

Communicate regularly with parents regarding students’ academic performance and areas for improvement.
10. Participate in school meetings, academic planning, examinations, training sessions, and other school activities.
11. Follow school policies, academic guidelines, and child safeguarding practices.

Educational Qualification:

- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Social Science, or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.

- Ability to make Science simple, practical, and enjoyable.
- Ability to manage students across different age groups, from the Junior Section to Class VII.

- Proficiency in preparing lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and academic reports

Experience: 1–3 years of teaching experience in a school Teacher. Fresher with good communication skills and subject knowledge may also be considered.

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹7,000.00 per month
