The Site Supervisor S&T; will be responsible for supervising execution of signaling and telecommunication works at site in accordance with Indian Railways specifications, approved drawings, and safety standards. The role ensures quality execution, safety compliance, and timely completion of S&T; activities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily execution of Railway Signaling & Telecom works including:

Indoor & outdoor signaling

Cable laying & termination

EI / RRI / PI interlocking works

OFC laying & splicing

Axle counter & track circuit works

Ensure work execution as per approved drawings, IRS specifications, RDSO guidelines, and rail safety norms .

Coordinate with S&T; engineers, construction teams, contractors, and vendors .

Maintain daily progress reports (DPR), joint measurements, and site documentation .

Ensure proper testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of S&T; systems.

Enforce strict railway safety procedures , including block protection and PPE compliance.

Supervise cable trenching, route proving, and equipment installation .

Monitor quality of materials, installations, and workmanship .

Coordinate with traffic, engineering, electrical, and operations departments during block works.

Report site issues, delays, and technical problems to the S&T; Engineer / Project Manager.

Assist in inspections with Railway officials, RDSO, and third-party agencies .





Support as-built drawings, test reports, and handover documentation .

Educational Qualification

Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in:

Electronics & Communication

Electrical

Instrumentation

Telecommunication

Certification in Railway Signaling / Telecom will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

3 8 years of experience in Indian Railways / Metro S&T; projects.

Hands-on experience in:

EI / RRI / PI installations

Axle counters & track circuits

OFC & Quad cable systems

IPS, power supply & earthing for S&T;

Familiarity with Commissioning procedures & safety approvals .

Technical Skills

Reading & interpretation of S&T; drawings, wiring diagrams, and interlocking plans

Knowledge of RDSO & IRS specifications

Understanding of block working, speed restrictions & safety protocols

Joint testing, troubleshooting & fault rectification

Cable scheduling & route management

Behavioral & Functional Skills

Solid site supervision & manpower handling

Excellent coordination with multi-disciplinary railway departments

Good communication & reporting

Basic computer skills (Excel, email, reporting tools)

Willingness to work in night blocks & rotational shifts

Safety & Compliance Responsibility

Ensure zero-accident execution at site

Full compliance with

Railway Safety Rules

PBW / GR / SOD guidelines

Electrical and S&T; safety standards
