Job Title: Site Engineer Trainee

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Site Engineer Trainee to handle electrical wiring, power cable installation, structured cabling, and network infrastructure works. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of electrical systems, cable routing, termination, testing, and maintenance procedures. The candidate must follow safety standards and coordinate effectively with supervisors and other technical teams to ensure quality and timely completion of site activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Install electrical wiring, conduits, trunking, and cable trays.
- Perform power cable laying, glanding, termination, and dressing.
- Install switches, sockets, lighting fixtures, distribution boards (DBs), MCBs, RCCBs, and related electrical accessories.
- Lay and route power, control, and low-voltage cables.
- Install structured cabling systems, including LAN (Cat 5e/Cat 6), telephone, CCTV, and CC-IN cables.
- Install and maintain cable panels, patch panels, I/O outlets, and network racks.
- Perform cable labelling, ferruling, and proper cable management.
- Test power and data cables using appropriate testing equipment.
- Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, and earthing tests.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify electrical wiring and cabling faults.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance as required.




- Read and interpret electrical and cabling layout drawings.
- Follow company safety policies, applicable electrical standards, and site procedures.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain safe working practices.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other technical teams to ensure smooth execution of work.
- Perform additional duties related to electrical and cabling works as assigned by management.

Educational Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Information Technology (IT), Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Candidates with relevant technical knowledge or practical experience in electrical and cabling works will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and cable installation.
- Understanding of power, control, and low-voltage cabling systems.
- Familiarity with LAN cabling, CCTV cabling, and network rack installations.
- Basic troubleshooting and fault identification skills.
- Ability to read electrical and cabling layout drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and PPE requirements.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work at project sites and follow site instructions.
