Role Summary The ServiceNow HAM Pro & SAM Pro Developer is responsible for designing, configuring, developing, and supporting ServiceNow IT Asset Management solutions covering both Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro) and Software Asset Management (SAM Pro). The role focuses on asset lifecycle governance, software compliance, license optimization, process automation, integrations, and reporting while ensuring alignment with CMDB and ITSM processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. HAM Pro Development & Administration Configure and enhance HAM Pro applications and modules.

Implement hardware asset lifecycle processes from procurement through retirement.

Configure

o Asset Models o Stockrooms o Asset Classes o Hardware Catalogues o Asset Workspaces

Develop workflows and automations using Flow Designer.

Configure asset refresh and reclamation processes.

Support asset audits and compliance initiatives.

2. SAM Pro Development & Administration Configure and implement ServiceNow SAM Pro.

Manage software lifecycle processes.

Configure

o Software Models o Software Products o Publishers o Entitlements o Contracts o Reclamation Rules

Manage license reconciliation and compliance.





Support software optimization initiatives.

Configure SaaS and on-premise software management capabilities.

3. CMDB & Discovery Integration Integrate HAM Pro and SAM Pro with CMDB.

Configure asset-to-CI relationships.

Support reconciliation and normalization activities.

Resolve data quality issues across asset repositories.

Work with Discovery and Service Mapping teams.

4. Integration Development Design and support integrations with:

Microsoft Intune

SCCM / MECM

JAMF

Active Directory

Procurement Systems

ERP solutions (SAP, Oracle, etc)

Vendor portals

Software inventory tools

5. Software License Compliance Configure license metrics and entitlement rules.

Manage license positions and compliance reporting.

Track over-utilization and underutilization.

Support software true-up and audit activities.

Implement optimization recommendations.
