Role Description

Senior Software Engineer (Java Backend)

Location - Bangalore

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electronics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, with substantial recent experience delivering production-grade Java applications and services across backend and full-stack environments.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Expert-level proficiency in Core Java and Java SE, including object-oriented design, collections, generics, streams, concurrency and multithreading, exception handling, JVM fundamentals, memory management, performance optimization, design patterns, and the development of maintainable, production-grade code.




- Hands-on full-stack development experience using Java-based backend frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, relational or NoSQL databases, and modern web technology such as JavaScript or TypeScript with Angular, React, or a comparable framework.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with JUnit, mocking frameworks, automated unit and component testing, Test-Driven Development, test design, code-coverage analysis, and the creation of reliable regression test suites.
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and development automation for builds, JUnit execution, integration tests, static analysis, code-quality gates, artifact creation, deployments, and release verification.
- Practical experience planning and executing System Integration Testing for distributed applications, including interface validation, service and database integration, test-data preparation, environment troubleshooting, defect analysis, and end-to-end workflow verification.
- Experience with debugging tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and build tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.




- Candidates should be able to demonstrate recent hands-on development through coding exercises and technical discussion covering Core Java, API and database design, JUnit and TDD practices, integration troubleshooting, code quality, and automation within a CI/CD workflow.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
