About the RoleSoftsensor.ai is looking for an experienced Data Science and Optimization leader who can manage enterprise analytics, supply chain optimization, network design, and decision intelligence projects from problem definition to final delivery.

You will work at the intersection of business consulting, data science, operations research, supply chain analytics, and BI—translating complex business challenges into analytical models, optimization solutions, dashboards, and actionable recommendations.

This role is ideal for professionals who combine strong analytical expertise with project leadership, client management, and the ability to guide cross-functional technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead 1–2 concurrent client projects across analytics, supply chain optimization, network design, and decision intelligence.
- Translate business challenges into structured analytical problems, modelling approaches, and implementation roadmaps.
- Oversee data discovery, quality checks, exploratory analysis, modelling, scenario analysis, dashboarding, and solution handover.
- Guide teams working with Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI, geospatial analytics, and optimization tools.
- Review optimization models, objective functions, constraints, feasibility, sensitivity analysis, and scenario outputs.
- Drive supply chain initiatives involving network design, warehouse/DC location strategy, logistics, inventory, S&OP;, and cost-to-serve.
- Lead client workshops, stakeholder discussions, executive reviews, and presentations.
- Manage project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, scope changes, and delivery quality.
- Mentor Data Scientists, Operations Research specialists, analysts, data engineers, and BI developers.
- Ensure solutions are explainable, well-documented, business-ready,



and supported by effective handover processes.

Required Skills & Experience

- Manager: 7–10 years of experience.
- Senior Manager: 10–14 years of experience.
- At least 3–5 years of experience managing analytics, Data Science, supply chain, consulting, or optimization projects.
- Solid hands-on understanding of Python, SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
- Experience with mathematical optimization, Operations Research, scenario modelling, or decision intelligence.
- Knowledge of geospatial analytics, network optimization, distance calculations, demand allocation, and cost modelling.
- Understanding of optimization concepts such as LP/MILP, objective functions, constraints, feasibility, and sensitivity analysis.
- Experience managing client-facing projects and cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong business communication, executive presentation, structured problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Good to have: Experience with Gurobi, Pyomo, OR-Tools, CPLEX, or PuLP; supply chain analytics; FMCG/CPG; retail; manufacturing; logistics; distribution; or S&OP.; Ideal Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who can bridge business and technology—understanding business problems, guiding technical teams, validating model outputs, presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders, and ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value.
