Responsibilities:

- Lead process mining activities to analyse end to end actuarial valuation processes, identifying control gaps, inefficiencies and automation opportunities.

- Produce high quality documentation covering valuation methodologies, assumptions, business rules and data flows, ensuring clarity and auditability.

- Apply judgement when adapting established frameworks and procedures to solve a range of problems within agreed boundaries.

- Design and build automated data flows and processing steps in Python and Databricks that support accurate and timely valuation outcomes.

- Develop senior level Power BI dashboards and Databricks Apps visualisations for insights into valuation movements, model performance and process controls.

- Use AI assistants (GitHub Copilot, Copilot 365) to accelerate automation design, code generation and documentation, validating assumptions and ensuring alignment with actuarial needs.

- Provide day to day support to junior colleagues reviewing work, offering technical guidance, helping them apply best practice and building their confidence.





- Work closely with actuarial modelling teams, finance stakeholders and technology partners to refine requirements, interpret valuation impacts and support implementation.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and share knowledge with the team to enhance their skills and expertise.

- Conduct real-time and historical transaction monitoring and flag potentially suspicious transactions.

- Conduct level 1 transaction monitoring alert reviews and discounting.

- Manages conflicts that may impact delivery

- Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex systems and the broader picture

- Identifies and anticipates need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of output
