About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineering Project Manager to lead enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data transformation and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong project delivery expertise with a solid understanding of modern data engineering practices, cloud-native data platforms, and large-scale data migration programs. You will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, driving project execution, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable and secure data solutions that support business growth and analytics objectives.

What You'll Do:

- Lead offshore and distributed engineering teams in delivering enterprise data platform and modernization initiatives on GCP.
- Drive end-to-end project planning, execution, governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Collaborate with data architects and engineering teams to implement target-state cloud data architectures.




- Oversee implementation of Medallion Architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
- Ensure successful delivery of scalable data ingestion, transformation, and semantic layer solutions using GCP-native services.
- Manage the development and deployment of reusable data pipelines, frameworks, accelerators, and automation solutions.
- Coordinate data governance, metadata management, lineage tracking, data quality, and security initiatives.
- Support migration, modernization, and consolidation of legacy and distributed BigQuery environments.
- Drive integration of enterprise data from SAP, CRM systems, APIs, flat files, and third-party applications.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, dependencies, delivery milestones, and resource utilization.
- Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, backlog reviews, release planning, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, business stakeholders, analytics teams, and leadership.
- Support implementation of DataOps, DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence practices.
- Prepare executive dashboards, project status reports, steering committee updates, and delivery roadmaps.
- Mentor and guide project and engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- 6-10 years of experience in Project Management, Data Engineering, Cloud Platforms, or Data Modernization initiatives.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale data engineering, analytics, or cloud transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native data ecosystems.
- Hands-on knowledge of BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
- Experience working with data warehousing, lakehouse architectures, and enterprise analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture and modern data engineering practices.
- Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data engineering and analytics initiatives.
- Experience managing BigQuery migration, modernization, and cloud transformation projects.




- Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data lineage, security, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems including SAP, CRM applications, APIs, and third-party data sources.
- Expertise in Agile, Scrum, and modern project delivery methodologies.
- Experience implementing DataOps, DevOps, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Robust stakeholder management, client communication, and executive reporting skills.
- Ability to manage distributed delivery teams across multiple locations.
- Experience in project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, estimation, and governance.
- Strong analytical, risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience working with enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence platforms.
- Understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns and data modernization strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
