Senior Commodities Business Development Manager

Function: Structured Commodity Origination & Cross Border Deal Development

Role Overview

Marginal-Gains are expanding our structured commodities portfolio across India and are seeking a senior professional with verifiable cross border transaction experience.

The ideal candidate will bring institutional buyer/supplier relationships, robust compliance discipline, and a proven ability to originate and execute commodity deals across fuels, metals, sulphur, or precious metals.

This role is only for senior professionals with direct experience in structured commodity transactions.

Applicants without verifiable deal history, institutional relationships, or cross border compliance experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

- Originate and develop structured commodity transactions across India
- Manage institutional buyer and supplier relationships (refineries, smelters, industrial buyers, Tier 1 trading houses)
- Lead cross border documentation, compliance, and bank coordination
- Drive deal structuring, negotiation,



and execution
- Build and maintain a high quality pipeline across fuels, metals, sulphur, and precious metals
- Coordinate with global teams across EMEA, APAC, and North America

Requirements

- You must have executed at least one cross border commodity transaction in the last 24 months
- 7–15+ years in commodities trading, origination, or structured BD
- Proven relationships with institutional buyers or suppliers
- Strong understanding of compliance, KYC, banking instruments, and documentation
- Ability to manage complex, multi party transactions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Currently working with refineries, smelters, industrial buyers, or Tier 1 trading houses
- Comfortable with structured, cross border deal frameworks
- Strong commercial judgement and risk awareness
- Able to operate independently with high accountability
