Role Description The Senior Accountant (Contract) will manage end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly closing activities. This remote role includes preparing financial statements and management reports, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring accurate recording of revenue, expenses, and project-related costs.

Accountant will oversee compliance with applicable tax regulations, assist with statutory filings, and support internal and external audits. The role also involves implementing and improving accounting controls,



collaborating with operations and leadership on budgeting and forecasting, and providing financial insights to support strategic decisions. As a contract position, the scope and duration of engagement will be defined based on business needs and project requirements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making and project evaluation.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of tax laws, compliance requirements, and experience supporting audits and statutory filings.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with strong Excel and data management skills.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently.
- Candidates should possess solid communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with remote teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a professional certification such as CA, CMA, or CPA is an advantage.
- Candidates should possess experience in infrastructure, manufacturing, or engineering-focused organizations; familiarity with project-based accounting is beneficial.
