Job Summary We re looking for a high-performing SDE-III with deep backend engineering expertise and strong foundations in data engineering that power the SSP Exchange team - a next-generation, AI-powered engineering platform working towards transforming ourselves into an Omni channel exchange .. You ll be part of a cross-functional team responsible for designing and delivering mission-critical systems with high performance, reliability, and scale.As part of the engineering team, you will work at the intersection of AI, large-scale systems, and ad tech-developing intelligent experiences that simplify and automate the digital advertising lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop large-scale backend services, APIs, and microservices for high-throughput data systems.
- Build and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines using technologies like Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, etc.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, data analysts and engineers to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.
- Optimize performance and reliability of distributed systems; ensure low-latency data ingestion and processing.
- Champion code quality, performance,



and up-to-date engineering practices (CI/CD, containerization, observability, fault tolerance) and mentor juniors
- Drive architectural decisions, lead technical discussions, and contribute to platform roadmap.

Qualifications

- 5-8 years of backend engineering experience, preferably in large-scale, high-traffic environments.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Go; familiarity with Python for data use cases is a plus.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and concurrency.
- Experience with modern data infrastructure (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Databricks, Presto, ClickHouse).
- Exposure to cloud-native architecture (GCP/Azure) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a bias for action and ownership.

Nice to Have

- Experience working in AdTech, Martech, or E-Commerce domains.
- Exposure to ML model lifecycle: training, serving, monitoring, and feedback loops.
- Prior experience with AI-powered UX: conversational UI, suggestion engines, or personalization.
- Agentic development (e.g., Cursor, LangChain, Windsurf)
