About Us

Rainbow International School, part of the Rainbow Group of Companies, is committed to quality education and the overall wellbeing of every child. We are looking for a caring and responsible School Nurse to look after the health and safety of our students and staff at our Brahmand campus.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Health & First Aid

- Provide first aid and immediate care to students and staff for injuries, illness and emergencies.
- Assess sick children, give basic care and decide whether they should rest, return to class or be sent home.
- Handle medical emergencies calmly, inform parents and management promptly, and arrange hospital transfer when needed.

2. Medication & Special Care

- Give prescribed medication to students only with written parental consent and as per school policy.
- Maintain a list of students with allergies, asthma, epilepsy, diabetes or other conditions, and make sure teachers are aware of care plans.

3. Health Records & Reporting

- Maintain accurate health records, medical histories, vaccination details and a daily infirmary register.
- Record all incidents and injuries, and share reports with management and parents as required.

4. Health Check-ups & Hygiene

- Coordinate routine health check-ups (height, weight,



vision, dental) with visiting doctors.
- Monitor hygiene in classrooms, washrooms, the canteen and play areas.
- Watch for and help control the spread of infectious illnesses such as fever, conjunctivitis and chickenpox.

5. Infirmary Management

- Keep the infirmary clean, organised and fully stocked with first-aid supplies and medicines.
- Check expiry dates and maintain inventory, and raise purchase requests on time.

6. Health Awareness & Training

- Conduct health and hygiene awareness sessions for students.
- Train teachers and support staff in basic first aid and emergency response.
- Support safety drills and accompany students on trips, sports days and events when required.

Requirements

- Degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent).
- Registered with the Maharashtra Nursing Council (or relevant nursing council).
- Previous experience working as a nurse in a school.
- Sound knowledge of first aid, CPR and emergency care.
- Caring, patient and comfortable working with children.
- Good communication skills in English, Hindi and Marathi.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records.
