SAP BW / Integrated Planning Consultant

Planning Mask · Manual SiT Data Entry · Inventory Analytics | 5–9 Years |

Role & Project Context

- We are looking for an experienced SAP BW / Integrated Planning (BW-IP) Consultant to join a Cognizant-led greenfield implementation for a global Life Sciences client building end-to-end inventory visibility across EMEA, US, Japan, ASIA, China, and Korea.

- The primary focus of this role is the BW Integrated Planning workstream: designing and building Planning Masks as the manual data entry channel for regional PIC users to input Stock-in-Transit (SiT) data across Asia Pacific - covering planning-enabled ADSOs, aggregation levels, Fox-based planning functions (validation, reset, carry-forward), planning sequences, entry sheet front-end in SAP Analysis for Office or SAC Planning, and per-region PFCG authorisation roles.

- In addition to the planning mask workstream, the consultant will contribute to the broader BW data layer: Acquisition ADSOs with ODP delta extraction, EDW harmonisation transformations with ABAP movement type classification, process chains, and open hub destinations for the Kinaxis CSV outbound file.

Skills Needed

- The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 5 -8 years of hands-on SAP BW/4HANA development experience with at least two end-to-end BW-IP implementations where they were the primary planning mask developer.

- Candidate must be able to write Fox formula validation logic independently from a business conversation, design planning-enabled ADSOs and aggregation levels from scratch, and build input-ready entry sheets in SAP Analysis for Office or SAC Planning for non-technical business users.

- Robust ABAP skills for BW transformations are essential specifically for movement type classification routines and Z-table lookups. Experience with ODP-based delta extraction from S/4HANA (2LIS_03_BF / BX / UM), BW process chain design, and BW-IP authorisation model implementation (S_RS_PLSE, S_RS_IOBJ, data slices) is required.

- Pharma or supply chain domain knowledge, experience integrating BW with Kinaxis or similar planning tools, and SAP C_BW4HANA certification are strongly advantageous.
