Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Sanitary Inspector (SI) to monitor sanitation, cleanliness, hygiene, and waste management across the hospital premises. The candidate will ensure compliance with hospital sanitation standards, infection prevention practices, and applicable hygiene regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular inspections of hospital wards, ICUs, OPD, casualty, washrooms, corridors, and other areas to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation.
- Supervise housekeeping staff and monitor daily cleaning activities as per the duty roster and cleaning schedule.
- Ensure proper collection, segregation, handling, and disposal of biomedical waste in accordance with applicable Biomedical Waste Management Rules.
- Monitor the cleanliness and hygiene of patient care areas, public areas, and hospital surroundings.
- Ensure adequate availability of cleaning materials, disinfectants, and sanitation supplies.
- Check the use of appropriate cleaning methods, disinfectants, and personal protective equipment (PPE) by housekeeping staff.
- Maintain sanitation inspection records, cleaning checklists, and daily reports.
- Coordinate with housekeeping supervisors, nursing staff, infection control personnel, and hospital administration to resolve sanitation-related issues.
- Identify sanitation deficiencies and ensure timely corrective action.




- Train housekeeping staff on hygiene, sanitation, waste segregation, and infection prevention practices.
- Report pest infestations, foul odours, drainage issues, water stagnation, and other sanitation-related concerns to the concerned department.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control protocols, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Be willing to visit and conduct sanitation inspections at our other campuses whenever required by the Management.

Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Diploma or certificate in Sanitary Inspection / Sanitary Inspector course. Relevant qualifications as required by the hospital.
- Experience: Relevant experience in hospital sanitation, housekeeping supervision, or healthcare facility hygiene will be preferred.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, biomedical waste segregation, and infection prevention practices.
- Good communication, observation, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Ability to supervise housekeeping staff and conduct regular inspections.

- Able to work in a hospital workplace and coordinate with multiple departments.
- Willing to work in shifts, as required by hospital operations.
