Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in the Greater Chennai Area.

The Sales

Engineer will identify and qualify automation opportunities in plastic injection moulding and related industries, conduct customer visits, understand application requirements, and propose suitable robotic and automation solutions.

Responsibilities include preparing and presenting technical and commercial proposals, demonstrating products, supporting trials,



and coordinating with the engineering team for solution design and implementation. The role involves managing the sales pipeline, following up on leads, negotiating terms, and supporting order closure while ensuring a smooth handover to project and service teams.

The Sales

Engineer will also provide post-sales technical support, build long-term customer relationships, and represent SGA at industry events, exhibitions, and technical meetings.

Qualifications

- Strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills, with the ability to understand industrial automation applications and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Proficiency in Sales and Customer Service, including lead management, relationship building, and post-sales support.
- Effective Communication skills for explaining technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
- Experience in industrial automation, robotics, or plastic injection moulding environments is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work in office at customer locations, travel within the region, and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused and ethical approach.
