Role Description The Safety Officer role is a full-time, in office position located in Dhenkanal.

The Safety

Officer will oversee day-to-day safety activities, including monitoring workplace conditions, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.

Responsibilities include conducting regular safety inspections, leading toolbox talks, coordinating safety drills, and maintaining accurate safety records and reports. The role also involves investigating incidents and near-misses, recommending corrective actions, and following up on implementation.

Officer will deliver safety training,



promote a strong safety culture among employees and contractors, and collaborate with management to develop and update safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices, standards, and regulations.
- Experience in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
- Understanding of Security procedures relevant to industrial or commercial sites.
- Ability to design and deliver effective Safety Training programs for diverse employee groups.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with local statutory requirements and guidelines related to workplace safety.
- Proficient in report writing, documentation, and use of basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills; ability to influence and coach teams on safety practices.
- Previous experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar safety-focused role in industrial or manufacturing settings is preferred.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety qualifications are an advantage.
