Role Description The Safety Officer role is a full time, on-site position based in Chhapra.

The Safety

Officer is responsible for monitoring workplace conditions, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security policies and regulations. Daily tasks include conducting safety inspections, coordinating safety training sessions, investigating accidents and near-miss incidents, and preparing clear reports and recommendations. The role also involves supporting occupational health initiatives, collaborating with management to implement corrective actions, and maintaining accurate safety documentation and records.

Officer will work closely with various teams to foster a strong safety culture and promote continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Health & Safety and Occupational Health for managing workplace risks and promoting employee well-being.
- Candidates should possess skills in Accident Investigation to analyze incidents, identify root causes, and support preventive measures.
- Candidates should possess skills in Security to help maintain a secure and controlled environment for personnel and assets.
- Candidates should possess skills in Safety Training to deliver transparent guidance, conduct awareness programs, and support compliance with safety policies.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environment, Engineering, or a related field are beneficial.
- Knowledge of local safety regulations, standards, and best practices, along with solid communication and documentation skills, is preferred.
- Experience in industrial, construction, or facility management environments, and recognized safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are an advantage.
