We are looking for a skilled Roblox Game Developer to join our dynamic team at RedLine Games. In this role, you’ll design, build, debug and ship engaging Roblox experiences that keep players coming back. You’ll bring creative ideas to life through gameplay mechanics, scripting, and interactive features, while collaborating with the team to create fun, polished, and memorable gaming experiences.

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement gameplay mechanics, systems and UI in Luau using Roblox Studio.
- Build server-authoritative gameplay: validate every client request and design with exploiters in mind.
- Implement robust data persistence and versioning with DataStores.
- Profile and optimise for Roblox's full device range, from low-end phones to PC and console.
- Use analytics to find drop-off points and improve retention, and ship updates and live events on a regular cadence.
- Guide the use of 2D and 3D techniques to elevate game visuals, making strategic decisions based on the game’s needs.
- Work closely with builders, artists and designers to integrate meshes, animations, VFX and sound.
- Study trending Roblox experiences and adapt winning mechanics quickly.
- Write clean, typed, maintainable Luau, and give constructive feedback in code reviews.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of Roblox development with Luau.




- At least one published Roblox experience you contributed to, with a link and a clear description of your role.
- Experience working with Git, Rojo and Wally.
- Strong Luau: metatables, parallel Luau, defensive coding patterns, common OSS modules, and editable meshes and images
- Solid grasp of the client-server and replication model.
- Experience with DataStores or an equivalent persistence library.
- Good maths and geometry: vectors, CFrames, raycasting, and grid or pathfinding logic.
- Autonomous, but comfortable with teamwork.
- Quick to learn and adapt.

Welcome Skills:

- Experience working on experiences with measurable visits, concurrent users or retention.
- Knowledge of Roblox analytics, A/B testing and Open Cloud.
- Roblox UI and Style Editor, Animation Editor and VFX setup.
- Prior Unity or mobile hyper-casual experience.
