The Role

We are looking for an RMM Subject Matter Expert to serve as a trusted technical advisor to our MSP clients. You will work directly with client teams to assess, configure, optimize, and get the most out of their RMM environments — primarily ConnectWise Automate and NinjaRMM. This is a client-facing, expertise-driven role that demands both deep platform knowledge and the communication skills to translate that knowledge clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

You will collaborate closely with ProVal’s delivery and operations teams to ensure clients receive consistent, high-quality guidance and that their RMM platforms are running at their full potential.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary RMM technical advisor for assigned MSP clients, building trusted relationships through consistent expertise and responsiveness
- Assess client RMM environments and deliver structured recommendations for configuration, optimization, and best-practice alignment
- Lead platform onboarding, migrations, and major configuration projects for clients moving to or expanding their use of ConnectWise Automate or NinjaRMM
- Conduct client-facing reviews, walkthroughs, and training sessions to drive platform adoption and capability




- Troubleshoot complex RMM issues across monitoring, alerting, patching, and agent management
- Document client configurations, recommendations, and project deliverables in a clear, skilled format
- Collaborate with internal delivery teams to share knowledge, flag platform trends, and contribute to ProVal’s RMM standards and playbooks
- Stay current on platform updates, new features, and evolving MSP best practices across ConnectWise Automate and NinjaRMM

What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience with RMM platforms in an MSP or IT service delivery environment
- Deep expertise in ConnectWise Automate (LabTech) — including monitors, scripts, patch management, and agent configuration
- Strong working knowledge of NinjaRMM — policies, conditions, automation, and device management
- Proven experience working directly with clients in a consulting or advisory capacity
- Excellent written and spoken English — you can explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical engineers and MSP business owners
- Strong documentation habits — you write things down without being asked and your documentation is clear and useful
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and communicate status proactively
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of client outcomes
- Availability to overlap with US Eastern or Central time zones for client-facing collaboration hours

Nice to Have
- Experience with additional RMM platforms such as Datto RMM or Kaseya VSA
- Familiarity with PSA platforms such as ConnectWise Manage or HaloPSA
- Working knowledge of PowerShell for basic scripting and automation within RMM environments
- Exposure to network monitoring tools or endpoint security platforms commonly deployed in MSP environments
- Any formal certifications in ConnectWise, NinjaRMM, or related platforms
