– RESTAURANT CASHIER

Department: Food & Beverage (F&B;)

Designation: Restaurant Cashier

Reports To: Restaurant Manager

Job Summary The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for handling billing, receiving payments, maintaining accurate cash records, and ensuring smooth and efficient financial transactions for restaurant guests.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and process guest bills accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Collect payments through cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and other approved payment methods.
- Verify bills, discounts, offers, and applicable taxes before processing payments.
- Issue receipts and invoices to guests.
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales, cash transactions, and payment settlements.
- Reconcile cash and other payment collections at the end of each shift.
- Coordinate with restaurant service staff and the kitchen team regarding billing discrepancies and order corrections.
- Handle guest billing queries and resolve minor issues professionally.
- Ensure the cash counter, billing equipment, and related documents are kept clean and organized.
- Follow the establishment's cash-handling procedures and financial policies.
- Report any cash shortages, excess amounts, billing errors,



or suspicious transactions to the reporting manager.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management as required.

Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum qualification: 12th pass.
- Previous experience as a cashier, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, or resort.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems, billing software, and MS Excel.
- Good numerical and calculation skills.
- Honest, reliable, and attentive to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle payments accurately during busy service hours.
- Professional appearance and a guest-friendly attitude.

*Preference to candidates from or currently in South Goa. Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
