- Order diagnostic tests, such as hearing tests, imaging studies, or laboratory tests, to help determine the cause and extent of a patient's condition
- Using the results of the medical exam and diagnostic tests, the doctor will diagnose the patient's condition and recommend a course of treatment
- Work with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication,

- Perform surgical procedures to treat conditions such as hearing loss, nasal polyps, and tumors of the head and neck
