Job Title: Radiology Typist

Job Summary The Radiology Typist is responsible for typing, formatting, proofreading, and finalising radiology reports dictated or provided by radiologists, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely delivery of reports to patients and referring doctors.

Key Responsibilities

- Type radiology reports, including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other imaging reports, as assigned.
- Accurately transcribe reports dictated by radiologists and maintain proper medical terminology and formatting.
- Proofread reports for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and typing errors without altering the clinical findings or interpretation.
- Ensure reports are completed and processed within the stipulated turnaround time.
- Coordinate with radiologists and radiology staff regarding report corrections, clarifications, and pending reports.
- Maintain patient records and ensure correct patient identification and report details.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information and medical reports.
- Upload, save, and maintain reports in the hospital information system (HIS/RIS) or other designated software.
- Assist in printing, organising, and dispatching reports to patients and referring doctors, as required.
- Follow hospital policies, reporting protocols, and quality standards.




- Maintain proper records of pending, completed, and corrected reports.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Radiologist or Management related to the department.

Educational Qualification
- Plus Two or any relevant degree/diploma.
- Medical transcription or medical terminology training will be an added advantage.

Required Skills
- Good typing speed with a high level of accuracy.
- Good English spelling, grammar, and comprehension.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and radiology-related terms.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word and hospital reporting software.
- Valuable attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.

Experience
- Freshers with good typing skills may apply.
- Previous experience in radiology report typing or medical transcription will be an advantage.
