Position: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Manufacturing Plant

1. Job Purpose To ensure that all products manufactured meet defined quality standards, customer specifications, and company requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for quality inspection, preparation of technical documents, production quality monitoring, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

2. Key Roles and Responsibilities

A. Quality Assurance and Quality Control

- Monitor the quality of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished paper products.
- Ensure that products meet customer specifications and established quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and testing during production.
- Identify quality deviations, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Minimize rejection, wastage, and customer complaints.

B. TDS (Technical Data Sheet)

- Prepare, update, and maintain Technical Data Sheets for different paper grades and products.
- Ensure that technical specifications are accurate and consistent with actual product quality.
- Share approved technical data with customers and internal departments as required.

C. COA (Certificate of Analysis)

- Prepare and verify Certificates of Analysis for finished products.
- Ensure that test results are recorded accurately and comply with customer requirements.
- Coordinate with the production and dispatch teams for timely issuance of COAs.

D. Quality Documentation





- Maintain quality inspection reports, laboratory test reports, and production quality records.
- Maintain and update SOPs, work instructions, checklists, and quality manuals.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of production batches.
- Support internal audits, customer audits, and external quality audits.
- Maintain records of non-conformities and corrective and preventive actions.

E. Production Quality Monitoring

- Monitor quality parameters at different stages of the paper manufacturing process.
- Coordinate with production personnel to maintain consistent product quality.
- Investigate production-related quality issues and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality control procedures.
- Conduct regular quality checks and communicate deviations to the concerned departments.

F. Team Management and Coordination

- Supervise and guide quality control staff and laboratory personnel.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, sales, and dispatch departments.
- Train employees on quality standards, inspection procedures, and documentation.
- Prepare periodic quality performance reports for management.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)





- Reduction in customer complaints and product rejection.
- Improvement in product quality and consistency.
- Accuracy and timely preparation of TDS and COA.
- Compliance with quality documentation and inspection procedures.
- Reduction in production wastage and quality-related losses.
- Timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.

4. Required Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelors degree or diploma in Paper Technology, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in quality assurance or quality control in the paper manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of paper testing methods, quality parameters, and laboratory procedures.
- Understanding of TDS, COA, SOPs, and quality documentation.
- Experience in team management, problem-solving, and production coordination.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems will be an advantage.

5. Required Skills

- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage quality issues and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and quality reporting systems.

6. Expected Outcome The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure consistent product quality, accurate technical documentation, effective production quality monitoring, reduced rejection and wastage, and improved customer satisfaction.
