Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior QA / Automation Engineer with strong experience in the Broadband / Cable Modem / Gateway domain, solid networking fundamentals, and hands-on Python programming skills. The role requires ownership of end-to-end quality, experience leading a small QA team (3–4 engineers), and regular interaction with customers and stakeholders through calls, defect triage discussions, and release reviews.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for Cable Modems, Gateways, and Broadband systems.

Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts for functional, regression, and network validation testing.

Perform testing of gateway features including LAN/WAN, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, DNS, NAT, routing, and Wi-Fi performance.

Execute network, performance, and stability testing using tools such as Iperf, traffic generators, and packet analyzers.

Debug and troubleshoot issues using Wireshark, tcpdump, SNMP, logs, and CLI tools.

Validate firmware upgrades, new feature releases, and defect fixes; ensure complete regression coverage for every build.

Lead or mentor a small QA team (3–4 engineers) and review test cases and execution results.





Participate in customer calls, defect triage meetings, and release discussions, providing clear quality status.

Support Hypercare and production issues, including issue reproduction, root-cause analysis, and fix validation.

Required Skills & Experience

Approximately 8 years of experience in QA / Test Engineering.

Solid experience in Broadband, Cable Modem, or Gateway testing.

Hands-on Python programming experience for automation or test utilities.

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routing.

Experience working directly with customers and handling technical discussions.

Experience leading or guiding a small QA team (3–4 engineers).

Desired skills

Good to Have

Exposure to DOCSIS 3.0 / 3.1 fundamentals.

Experience with device management protocols such as TR-069 / TR-181 / TR-369 or SNMP.

Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for test automation.
