Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager to manage procurement activities for our PCD pharma business. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing pharmaceutical products, coordinating with third-party manufacturers, negotiating prices, ensuring product availability and maintaining cost-effective procurement operations while meeting quality and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end purchasing and procurement of pharmaceutical finished products for the PCD division.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors and third-party manufacturers.
- Negotiate product prices, credit terms, minimum order quantities (MOQs) and delivery timelines.
- Source products across various pharmaceutical segments, including general, critical care, derma, and Ayurvedic divisions, as applicable.
- Coordinate with vendors for product availability, manufacturing schedules, dispatches, and timely deliveries.
- Ensure that products are sourced from appropriately licensed manufacturers and that required product documents are available.
- Coordinate with the sales, warehouse, accounts and quality teams to fulfil product requirements.




- Monitor inventory levels, stock movement, expiry dates, and slow-moving products to minimize losses.
- Maintain purchase orders, vendor records, quotations, invoices, and procurement reports.
- Track market prices, identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain competitive purchase rates.
- Handle product development and sourcing requirements for new product launches.
- Resolve vendor-related issues concerning quality, shortages, delivery delays and commercial terms.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and applicable pharmaceutical regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline; a degree or diploma in Pharmacy is preferred.
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical purchasing preferably in a PCD pharma company.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical finished-product sourcing and third-party manufacturing.
- Established vendor and manufacturer network within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and vendor management skills.
- Good knowledge of inventory planning, purchase documentation and cost control.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and purchase/inventory management software.
- Strong coordination, analytical and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates with experience in PCD pharma procurement will be given preference.
- Ability to manage multiple product categories and vendors simultaneously.
- A proactive, commercially minded qualified who can ensure timely procurement at competitive prices.
