Job Title: Purchase Executive Location: Bhopal ,Madhya Pradesh Department: Procurement / Supply Chain Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Executive to manage procurement activities in the dairy industry. The role involves sourcing quality raw materials, packaging materials, engineering spares, and other goods required for smooth plant operations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely procurement, maintain supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source and procure raw materials such as milk, milk powders, cultures, packaging materials, cleaning agents, etc.

- Identify reliable suppliers and maintain updated supplier database.

- Request and compare quotations to ensure cost-effective procurement.

- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.

- Issue purchase orders and follow up for timely deliveries.

- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and delivery timelines.





- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure materials meet required quality standards.

- Work closely with production and inventory teams to understand material requirements.

- Monitor stock levels and plan procurement to avoid shortages or excesses.

- Resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or non-conforming materials.

- Maintain compliance with food safety, FSSAI, and other regulatory norms during procurement.

- Participate in vendor audits and assist in supplier evaluations.

- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and cost control targets.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Knowledge of dairy industry materials (milk, cultures, packaging, etc.)

- Robust negotiation and communication skills

- Good understanding of supply chain processes

- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.)

- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office software

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Qualifications:

- Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Dairy Technology, or related field

- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the dairy or FMCG industry

Preferred Experience:

- Exposure to dairy plant operations and procurement of food-grade materials

- Understanding of FSSAI and related procurement compliances
