- Job DescriptionWe are looking for a proactive and technically sound Purchase Engineer – Subcontracting (Machining) to manage external machining vendors and subcontractors. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating machining activities on raw materials, castings, and components sent to subcontractors as per company-provided engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and develop subcontractors for machining operations as per company requirements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for machining of valve components as per engineering drawings, specifications, and delivery schedules.
- Issue purchase orders and job work orders, including drawings, quantities, rates, and delivery commitments.
- Follow up regularly with subcontractors to ensure timely completion and delivery of components.




- Monitor machining quality, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to drawing specifications in coordination with the Quality Department.
- Coordinate material dispatch and receipt, maintaining proper records of material sent for job work and material received back.
- Track subcontractor-wise material movement, pending quantities, rejection, rework, and delivery status.
- Negotiate machining rates, payment terms, and delivery schedules with subcontractors.
- Maintain subcontractor performance records, including quality, cost, and delivery.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, and Planning teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely availability of machined components.
- Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of materials lying with subcontractors.
