Applications are invited for the position of Project Research Scientist – I (Non-Medical) under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded Intermediate Grant (NAG) project in the School of Healthcare Science and Engineering (SHINE), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore – 632014, Tamil Nadu.

CardioScreen: A High-Throughput 3D Cardiac Spheroid Platform for Myocardial Infarction Modelling and Cardioprotective Drug Screening

Qualification (Essential)

:

First Class Post-Graduate Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Materials Science / Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines from a recognized university.

Qualification (Desirable)

:

Ph.D. (awarded or thesis submitted) in a relevant discipline; experience in 3D cardiac spheroid or organoid culture, 3D bioprinting, cardiac tissue engineering, myocardial infarction / ischemia–reperfusion models, cardioprotective drug screening, fluorescence imaging, molecular assays, and quantitative data analysis.

Stipend

:

Rs. 56,000/- per month + HRA (10%) with annual increment @ 5% on initial emoluments after completion of every two years, as per ICMR norms, for candidate with ICMR/DBT/CSIR JRF/Valid GATE score. For non-JRF/GATE qualified candidates, the stipend will be paid as per the Institute’s norms.
