Applications are invited for the position of Project Research Scientist– III (Non-Medical) under the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded Intermediate Grant (NAG) project in the School of Healthcare Science and Engineering (SHINE), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore – 632014, Tamil Nadu.

Title of the Project

:

CardioScreen: A High-Throughput 3D Cardiac Spheroid Platform for Myocardial Infarction Modelling and Cardioprotective Drug Screening

Qualification (Essential)

:

Postgraduate Degree (including integrated postgraduate degrees) in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Tissue Engineering, Materials Science or a relevant allied discipline, with at least five (5) years of post-qualification research experience; OR Ph.D. in one of the above or a closely related discipline with at least two (2) years of post-qualification research experience.

Qualification (Desirable)

:

Experience in 3D bioprinting, cardiac tissue engineering, cardiomyocyte culture, cardiac spheroids, in vitro myocardial infarction modelling, high-throughput drug screening, fluorescence imaging, and molecular and cellular assays. Candidates with demonstrated research publications, independent experimental planning and experience coordinating multidisciplinary research projects will be preferred.

Stipend

:

Rs. 78,000/- per month + HRA @ 10%,



with annual increment @ 5% on initial emoluments after completion of two years, as per ICMR norms.
