Role & responsibilities

- Conduct lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, and practical classes in medical biochemistry for MBBS students.
- Teach topics including biomolecules, enzymes, metabolism, nutrition, molecular biology, clinical biochemistry, and related subjects.
- Supervise practical sessions involving biochemical tests, laboratory techniques, and interpretation of experimental results.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, practical manuals, and other teaching materials.
- Guide students in practical records, assignments, seminars, and academic activities.
- Participate in internal assessments, university examinations, question paper preparation, and evaluation duties as assigned.
- Assist in the maintenance and proper functioning of biochemistry laboratories and teaching equipment.
- Ensure appropriate handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory chemicals, reagents,



and biomedical waste in accordance with applicable protocols.
- Maintain departmental records, practical registers, equipment logs, and academic documentation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, research projects, seminars, conferences, and faculty development programmes.
- Support institutional inspections, academic audits, and compliance with applicable NMC requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments for interdisciplinary teaching and academic activities.
- Maintain professional ethics, discipline, and a conducive learning workplace.
- Perform other academic and departmental duties assigned by the HOD or competent authority.

Preferred candidate profile Candidate must have MBBS+ MD or M.Sc + P.hd
